Computer crime has become a big problem of the world that is likely to continue far into the future.
Computer criminals are often quite different from other kinds of criminals.
According to some experts, these criminals seem to lock themselves away from other people and live in their own fantasy “microworlds.”
They are also generally quite young.
They break into others' computers in order to steal, add, or change information.
For many of them, this is a kind of game, a part of their fantasy life.
However, it is a dangerous “game,” and, as a result, many individuals and corporations are very concerned about computer security.

During his years as mayor of New York City, Guardia sometimes presided as judge in a night court.
In one case, a man was found guilty of stealing a loaf of bread.
He claimed that he had committed that theft to feed his starving family.
“The law is the law,” La Guardia declared.
“I must therefore fine you $10.”
When the man sadly confessed that he had no money, the judge took $10 out of his wallet and paid the fine.
He also asked each person in the courtroom to contribute 50 cents to help the man.
There and then, they accepted his request.
Finally, the law-breaker was set free and even blessed with an undeserved gift.

An old man got on a train with a gorgeous hat his son bought for him.
A young man beside him saw the hat on his lap and said, “Look, how elegant it is! Where did you get it?”
The old man said, “My son bought it at H. S. department store for me.”
The young man stealthily slipped his calling card into the hat and yelled,
“A few weeks ago, I bought the same hat at H. S. department store
and stuck my calling card inside the hat, but the hat was stolen the other day.
Now I see the calling card in your hat, so it must be mine.
Now give it back to me.”
The old man thought for a while what he should do.
At last the old man handed the hat to the young man and said,
“In fact, I’m a farmer and a few days ago, in a moonless night, a thief stole my favorite cow and dropped this hat unconsciously.
You are insisting that this hat is yours.
Thank God, you can take your lost hat and I can take my stolen cow back.”
At this the young man hesitantly said, “May I be excused a moment? Nature calls me.”
The young man stood up and went away in a hurry, leaving the hat behind. He never returned!

You have probably heard of fingerprints, but do you know about noseprints?
These are not for people.
These are for cows.
Farmers use these to aid them in knowing if a cow belongs to them.
Farmers also use these to stop people who steal cattle.
A cow’s nose has lines and circles on it just as a person’s fingers do.
No two cows have these wholly alike.
These vary from cow to cow.
That is why these can help farmers know if a cow belongs to their herd.

Drugs steal so much.

On July 1, 1995, a Saturday evening on a holiday weekend, a 16-year-old member of the U.S. National Tennis Team was on her way to a competition in France.
Her purse, with her passport inside, was stolen at JFK Airport in New York.
After airport officials told her father that there was no way his daughter would be permitted to leave the country, he called the State Department in Washington.
He reached David Gooding, who abandoned his own weekend plans and spent the next several hours working with the airline to permit the girl to depart while the passport issue was being resolved.
She was on a flight that night.

I am opposed to the vision of the Protestant fundamentalist church or of the Catholic Church which sees atheists just as our opponents.
In my book "Global Responsibility: In Search of a New World Ethic", I tried to find common ground in all religions.
We need global ethics!
We would see a great change if we could abolish what is inhuman in religions.
Everything that is human should be fostered.
Religions should begin this examination themselves.
Every religion has something which could be changed.
To persecute theologians, as the Vatican does, in the 20th century, is really not humane.
All religions have in common ethical commands, such as not to kill, lie or steal.
We have seen that religions which might have seemed oppressive in the past can be forces for liberation, whether in East Europe, Latin America, the Philippines or South Africa.

We were walking downtown in Washington, D.C., after visiting a museum.
A distraught, nicely dressed young woman approached us.
"I hope you will help me," she said.
She told us she'd been in the department store and someone had stolen her wallet, including all her credit cards, money and even her subway card.
She continued, "I'm a nurse.
I desperately need a few dollars to get home."

There are, on the other hand, many good reasons against owning a car.
First, it can be very expensive.
The price of fuel continues to rise and car insurance can cost three or four hundred dollars a year.
In addition, it is expensive to maintain and repair a car.
A simple tune-up can cost $50.
In an urban area, it might also be expensive to park the car.
Second, owning a car can cause worry and stress.
It is exhausting to drive in rush-hour traffic, or to drive around and around looking for a parking space.
If you leave your car on the street, it might get stolen.
That is something else to worry about.
Finally, everyone needs to think about pollution and energy problems.
Air pollution and noise pollution increase as more and more people drive cars.

A shoplifter caught stealing a ring in a jewelry store pleaded, "Please don't

When the cashier presented him with the bill, he said, "That's a little more
than I'd planned to spend. Could you show me something less expensive?"

Usually the raids are foiled by alert guard bees assigned to protect the

Other bees, too lazy to work, are dazzled and go off to try their luck at stealing.

Some time ago, zoo officials in Kirby Misperton, England, had to pay
visitors for articles stolen by monkeys. But what puzzled them was
the favorite item the animals snatched: eyeglasses. An investigation
revealed the reason. The monkeys grabbed the glasses when visitors
leaned over to read a small sign of the wall of the cage.
The sign said: "Beware! These monkeys steal spectacles."

A:Oh, no! I've lost my wallet!
A:오 저런!
B:Where did you last have it?
A:On the bus. Oh, no! I think someone stole it!
A:버스에서였어.
B:I think I've got to report it to the police and inform the bank as well.
*
I lost my wallet
I have lost my wallet.
wallet's gone! Someone stole it
=Some lifted it=Someone pickpocketed it. as well=too. I've got to~는 격식을
갖춘 영어에서는 I have to~로 말한다.

A:I brought you flowers for our anniversary.
B:You've stolen my heart.

[=You've won my heart.]
A:And now I want a divorce.
B:You've broken my heart.
A:My mother was in a car accident just now.

B:Take heart! Be brave! There's a good chance that no one died in the

A : Officer, I'd like to report a theft.
B : Yes, what was stolen?
A : I had my wallet(purse) stolen.
B : Well, you'd better come down to the station and
report it.
B : What's up?
A : I hae to report a theft.
B : What was taken?
A : I had my suitcase stolen.
I was robbed of my wallet in front of the hotel.
Call the police, please.
Could you take me to the nearest police station?

A : My pocket must have been picked,
My wallet is gone.
B : How much money were you carrying.
A : about $200 in cash.
I had my wallet stolen with my passport.
A : Is there any possibility of getting my passport back?
B : I wouldn't count on it.

Ever since the first celebration of BLACK HISTORY WEEK, many gentlemen
have raised the question : "Why do we celebrate a week by calling
attention to the achievements of one group, African-American?" The answer
is quite simple : because the outstanding achievements of
African-Americana have been stolen or overlooked, despite their great
significance. America being a cultural melting pot, all Americans need to
learn about each other and appreciate the contributions made by the
various racial groups.

An old Greek myth tells the story of a farmer. The farmer sowed seeds
and reaped what he sowed. But he was not content with his own crops, and
he stole crops from nearby farmers. The Greek god, zeus, was very angry
at this. So he turned the farmer into an ant. However, the farmer's
character remained the same. Like the farmer, the ant still went from
field to field, storing up food for itself.

The River Of Dreams - Billy Joel
In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
From the mountains of faith
To a river so deep
I must be looking for something
Something sacred I lost
But the river is wide
And It's too hard to cross
And even though I know the river is wide
I walk down every evening and I stand on the shore
And try to cross to the opposite side
So I can finally find out what I've been looking for
In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the valley of fear
To a river so deep
And I've been searching for something
Taken out of my soul
Something I would never lose
Something somebody stole
I don't know why I go walking at night
But now I'm tired and I don't want to walk anymore
I hope it doesn't take the rest of my life
Until I find what it is that I've been looking for
In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the jungle of doubt
To a river so deep
I know I'm searching of somthing
Someything so undefined
That it can only be seen
By the eye of the blind

lling rain
Telling me just what a fool I've been
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again
***
The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand-new start
But little does she know
That when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart
-
Rain, please tell me now
Does that seem fair for her to steal my heart away
When she don't care
I can't love another
When my heart's somewhere far away
*** repeat
Rain, Won't you tell her that I love her so
Please ask the sun to see her heart aglow
Rain, in her heart
And let the love we knew start to grow
** repeat

>>> Kissing A Fool <<< by George Michael
**
You are far
When I could have been your star
You listened to people
Who scared you to death
And from my heart
-
Strange that you were strong enough
To even make a start
But you'll never find peace of mind
Till you listen to your heart
***
People
You can never change the way they feel
Better let them do just what they will
For they will
If you let them steal your heart from you
-
People
Will always make a lover feel a fool
But you knew I loved you
We could have showm them all
We should have seen love through
-
Fooled me with the tears in your eyes
Covered me with kisses and lies
So bye
But please don't take my heart
-
You are far
I'm never gonna be your star
I'll pick up the pieces
And mend my heart
Maybe I'll be strong enough
I don't know where to start
But I'll never find peace of mind
While I listen to my heart
*** repeat
People
Will always make a lover feel a fool
But you knew I loved you
We could have shown them all
-
But remember this
Every other kiss
That you ever give as long as we both live
When you need the hand of another man
One you really can surrender with
I will wait for you like I always do
There's something there
That can't compare with any other
** repeat
Strange that I was wrong enough
To think you'd love me too
I guess you were kissing a fool
You must have been kissing a fool

Rhythm of the rain
The Cascades
**
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just what a fool I've been
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again
***
The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand-new start
But little does she know
That when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart
-
Rain, please tell me now
Does that seem fair for her to steal my heart away
When she don't care
I can't love another
When my heart's somewhere far away
-
*** repeat
-
Rain, Won't you tell her that I love her so
Please ask the sun to see her heart aglow
