queer 별난
퀴어 시네마:퀴어(Queer)는 원래 '이상한' '기분 나쁜'이란 뜻의 영어단어.
그러다 동성애자들이 주변에서 자신들을 이상하게 바라보는 시선을 빗대
스스로를 '퀴어'라고 풍자하기 시작하면서 이제는 '퀴어=동성애자'로 통하게
됐다. 이 개념이 처음 소개된 것은 1991년 토론토영화제에서였다.
퀴어시네마는 대부분 저예산의 실험영화이어서 비교적 진보적인 선댄스,
암스테르담,토론토영화제를 통해 알려지기 시작했다.
