[比較] belly, abdomen, stomach, tummy, guts
bellyache(<속어>불평하다)/ bellylaugh/ belly dancer/ do a belly smacker(<다이빙에서>뱃장치다)
I cannot stomach his insulting behavior.(그의 무례한 거동은 참을 수 없다.)

ex) The hostages ran the gauntlet of insult on their way to the airport.

I revenged myself for the insult.(avenge

That's icing on the cake.
add insult to injury 또는 It never rains but it pours.
That's icing on the cake라

The judge threw the book at him
* a slap in the face는 글자 그대로 '얼굴을 한번 찰싹 하고
그리고 a slap on the wrist는 '손목을 한번 찰싹 때리는 것'이니
처하는 것'은 throw the book at∼이라는 말로 흔히 표현한다.

No opportunity knocks twice
No lightning strikes twice란
Misfortunes never come single 또는
One misfortune rides upon another's back란 말도 있는데
Adding insult to injury

As the men drift in and out of sleep, they talk of their
various plans to get back to work, or they dully repeat the
insults and boasts that constitute most of their conversation.

What of the Southern leaders, all of whom were liable to charges of
treason? One of these leaders, Jefferson Davis, president of the
Southern Confederacy, was the subject of an insulting popular Northern
song, "Hang Jeff Davis from a Sour Apple Tree," and even children sang
it. Davis was temporarily chained in his prison cell during the early
days of his two-year imprisonment. But he and the other Southern leaders
were finally released, partly because it was unlikely that a jury from
Virginia, a Southern Confederate state, would convict them. All the
leaders were finally pardoned by President Johnson in 1868 in an effort
to help reconstruction efforts proceed with as little bitterness as
possible.
