Driving fast last Monday, I was pulled over by a police officer.
The officer noticed that my shirt had the name of a local secondary school on it.
“I teach math,” I explained.
He smiled and said, “OK. Here's a problem. A teacher is speeding on the highway at 25 kilometers over the limit.
At $12 for every kilometer over the limit, plus $40 court costs, what is her total cost?”
I replied, “taking that total, subtracting the low salary I receive, multiplied by the number of kids that hate math,
then adding to that the fact that none of us would be anywhere without teachers, I'd say zero.”
He handed me back my license, “Actually, math was never my favourite subject. Please slow down.”

Do you have any city tours?
Here's tour brochure.
What kinds of tours are there?
Which tour do you recommend? I have only one day here.
There's a half-day tour and a full-day tour.
When does the next tour bus leave?
Do I need a reservation?
Please wear this pin on your shirt during the tour.

But don't despair.
For many, this change is slight, perhaps unnoticeable.
Others adapt to fading hearing by becoming, even unconsciously, better listeners, watching the speaker's face or sitting closer to a sound source.
But the most effective way is to protect any hearing that remains in the ear and in the brain.
Here's how.

Here's a little tip, she really likes it when you rub her neck in the same spot over and over and over again until it starts to get a little red.

Y'know, here's the thing.

Look, I, uh- I realise you guys have been wondering
what exactly happened between Carol and me, and,
so, well, here's the deal.
Carol's a lesbian.

Hey! Here's the birthday boy! Ross, check it out.

Here's the thing, Janice. You know, I mean, it's like we're different. I'm like the bing, bing, bing. You're like the boom, boom, boom.

Here's my retainer!

Rach, here's your mail.
Thanks, you can just put it on the table.
No, here's your mail.
Thanks, you can just put it on the table.
Would you just open it?
Oh my god, oh, you guys are great.

Anyway, I was just thinking, I mean, if you'd gone to Vail, and if you guys'd been with your family, if you didn't have syphilis and stuff,
we wouldn't be all together, you know? So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm very thankful that all of your Thanksgivings sucked.
That's so sweet.
And hey, here's to a lousy Christmas.
/ And a crappy New Year.

Now, here's a picture of my mother and father on their wedding day. Now you tell me she's not a knockout.

Excuse me, could we get an egg over here, still in the shell?
Thanks. An egg?
Yeah, you're gonna go up to her and say, "Here's your egg back, I'm returning your egg."
I think it's winning.
I think it's insane.
She'll love it.
Go with the egg, my friend.
- Think it'll work?
- No, it's suicide. The man's got an egg.
You can not do this.

Here's my credit card. Dinner's on me. I'm sorry, Chandler.

Ok, Barry's letters.
Adam Ritter's boxer shorts.
Ok, and I have the, uh receipt for my dinner with Nokululu Oon Ah Ah.
Look, here's a picture of Scotty Jared naked.
Hey he's wearing a sweater.

here's a wacky thought.

I tell you one thing, I wouldn't mind having a piece of this sun-dried tomato business.
Five years ago, if somebody had said to me,
here's a tomato that looks like a prune,
I'd say "get out of my office!"

So, Phoebs owes $7.50, Monica, you owe $10, and Rachel, you owe fifteen big ones.
But hey, thanks for teachin' us Cross-Eyed Mary. You guys, we gotta play that at our regular game.
Alright, here's my $7.50. But I think you should know that this money is cursed.
What?
Oh, I cursed it.
So now bad things will happen to he who spends it.
That's alright, I'll take it. Bad things happen to me anyway. This way I can break 'em up with a movie.

Where were we?
Oh, OK... five card draw,
uh... jacks or better... nothing wild, everybody ante.
Look, Rachel, we don't have to do this.
Yes, we do.
Alright, check.
Check.
나도
I'm in for fifty cents.
Call.

I'm in.
I see your fifty cents... and I raise you...
five dollars.
I thought, uh... it was a fifty cent limit.
Well, I just lost a job, and I'd like to raise the bet five bucks. Does anybody have a problem with that?
- Not at all
Loser?
No, I fold.
What do you mean, you fold? Hey, come on! What is this? I thought that 'once the cards were dealt, I'm not a nice guy.'
I mean, what, were you just full of it?
I'm in.
받아
How many you want?
One.
한 장
Dealer takes two.
- What do you bet?
- I bet two dollars.
OK... see your two...
and I raise you twenty.
I see your twenty,
raise you twenty-five.
See your twenty-five...and...uh,
Monica, get my purse.
Rachel, there's nothing in it.
OK, then get me your purse.
OK, here you go. Good luck.
Thank you. I saw your twenty-five, and I raise you...
seven.
7!
...teen!
17!
Joey, I'm a little shy.
That's OK, Ross, you can ask me. What?
What do you need, what do you need?
Fifteen.
15
- Alright, here's ten.
- Here, I got five, I got five.
- Thank you.
- Good luck.
OK, I am calling your seventeen. What do you got?
Full house.
You got me.
- Ahhh, that's alright. Y'know, that's a tough hand to beat.
- I thought we had them!

Until then, you either contribute,
or you keep it shut, Travis.
Now, here's what we're going to do.

Look, we can talk ourselves in circles about charter schools,
but here's what I propose.
In your profile, you go into great detail
about the sexism Durant faced early on in her career.
That's right.
When she was first elected,
it was still an old boy's club in the senate.
Journalism used to be that way, too, not so long ago.

This is your agenda for the day.
Here's your schedule for the rest of the week.
These are papers that need to be approved or signed.
Over here are your one-sheets for committee meetings
and briefs on upcoming legislative action.
I filled Ashley in. She can cover until you find a replacement.

I'm a white-trash cracker from a white-trash town
that no one would even bother to piss on.
But here's the difference.
I've made something of myself.
I have the keys to the Capitol. People respect me.
But you, you're still nothing.
You're just an uppity dago in an expensive suit
turning tricks for the unions.

Here's the deal.
My children stay out of the limelight.
No photo ops, no press.
We wouldn't dream of it.
Okay.
Let's do this.

Shit, Frank, I'm sorry...
Don't you sweat it for a second.
In fact, here's how you can make it up to me,
freshen my drink.
That I can do.

Here's another truth that's gonna be hard to swallow...
I'm all you've got.
Nobody in Washington gives a fuck about you. No one.
He's right.
맞아
Whatever you think of Petey, we either go with him or we got nothing.

Sir?
Phone call, Senator. It's Maureen Kingsley from the network.
- Come on, Patty, it's after midnight. - She says it's urgent.
Maureen, this better be good.
- Can I get you some coffee or anything? - Thank you, Patty.
My response? Here's my response.
You air that allegation or anything remotely like it...
This conversation is over, Maureen.
That'll be all, Patty.

So ...
here's what we're going to do:
You're going to stay here until we get back.
If you pushed this guy off the roof
he will, without a doubt, have roof dust on his shoes.
If he does, we'll have you arrested for murder.
But if dust is not present,
then you'll be free to go.

This is your hit and run victim.
Bad thing about this job is you stop asking yourself 'why.'
Here's the bruise I was telling you about.
You see it?
Oh, my God...
Plate numbers.
From the license plate, when it impacted her skin.
Looks like a four with a Joseph.
4와 J인 거 같네요
Yeah.
그래
Not like he left us any evidence.

Okay, here's your Frat boy.
We have petechial hemorrhages. Which is synonymous with asphyxia.
So he asphixiated by hanging.
- Are you ruling suicide? - No, not yet.
When a victim is found hung, we usually find some teeth marks... on the tongue.
No teeth marks.

That's strange.
What's that?
Glazed like a doughnut.
Well, here's the reason the skin was funny.
Formaldehyde, right?
Close. BioTone Arterial.
Promotes high diffusion and drainage in skin tissue.
So I was right. This woman's been embalmed.
Yeah. Yeah.

Mr. Grissom.
Sheriff.
서장님
The Mayor has already called. So what have you got?
Nothing.
I'm not asking you to lay out your whole case,
just give me something I can run with.
I have got to feed the press and diffuse the panic.
As soon as I have something, you'll have something.
Here's a thought,
why don't you try being more like Ecklie?
I could speak volumes about Conrad Ecklie.
But I have a crime scene to process. So
you have to excuse me...

Here's a pen.
Start writing.

Is this Eddie's idea of a joke? What, are you in one of his bands?
I already made a field visit to your house.
Here's the form.
Lindsey seems okay.
