* Let's toast your promotion : "승진을 위해 건배합시다"
A : Let's toast your promotion.
B : Okay, You're very nice. Cheers ~!

Why the long face?
/ Why so blue? / Why so down?
ex) Don`t let me down.
snap out of it / cheer up / be of good cheer / perk up.
cf) Why the knitted brow?

Way to go!
* That's the way to go를 줄인 말인데 Nice try!
'root for'라 한다.

I'll drink to that.
하거나 to our success라든가 to our health등 좀 더 구체적으로
Let's drink to that이다.
I'll drink to that도 물론 '그런 의미에서 한잔하겠다'는
Let's shake on that.
또 술 마실 때 Say when과 Just a touch라고 말한다면

. a glass 한잔 / a bottle 한병
① Will you get me a bottle of beer ?
② Another bottle of beer please.
③ A pitcher please. ( pitcher = jug = mug )
④ I will buy your drink. = Let me buy your drink.
⑤ Is this strong?
⑥ Would you like refill?
⑦ No thank you. I'm to drink((too much).
⑧ Here's to you ! - 건배!=∼위하여 )
Bottoms up !
Cheer ! - 〃
ex) Cheer up !

Cheers ! = Bottem's up !

: 원래 pom pon(응원시 여러색의 비닐뭉치)이 변

Brandon will get a kick out of this
*Cheers* *Baby Talk* *Bevery Hills 90210*
"You are a kick"

doctor, with their eyes fixed on him. They insisted on his being drowned.
Seeing his danger, the doctor thought out a trick."All right,my lads," he said.
"But suppose now you give the doctor a good cheer before you drown him."

through the building. This unusual noise, needless to say, at once brought the

Everything depended on my final arrow. Still, my rival looked calm. For a
moment, I dreamed I would go home with a gold medal. I approached the
shooting line, remembering all the hard training I had gone through.
Suddenly, I felt my heart beating faster. But I slowly aimed at the
target. Shortly after my arrow began to fly, I heard the crowd cheering.
When I looked at the target, I could not believe my eyes. My arrow hit
the very center of the yellow circle. Then I heard my teammates shouting,
"You did it!"

When I was nine, Kathy was in my class. She was always clean, smart, and
popular. I went to school mostly to see her. Every morning. I brushed my
hair. Every night I washed the only clothes I had. In winter I often got
sick because in the morning I had to wear them, wet or dry. Everybody has
a Kathy, a symbol of everything you want. When I played the drums in high
school and when I broke race records in college, it was for kathy. Now
when I hear a cheer from the audience after I sing. I wish Kathy could
hear it, too.
