because it was the ability to grow crops that allowed people to settle in one place.

사람들을 한 장소에 정착하게 하는 것은 작물을 재배할 수 있는 능력이기 때문이다.
세계 주요 도시들의 대부분은 지금도 강을 끼고 있다.
